Commissioned by the Black Lives Matter Commissioning Project based in the UK, this accessible piece has flavors of gospel with a secular text.  It is a capella and may be performed as written, as in this example by Rolling Harmony, or with liberties that are indicative of the gospel style (i.e. increased ad lib in the solo, additional repeats in the last section, etc.).  The heart-warming lyrics begin with the simple statement, "Let time be your friend.  Live inside each moment.  Fast or slow, let it flow for time is your friend."   (Also available for SATB)
